Sharing Your Needs

Often behaviors unknowingly make people mistake who we we really are.

Sharing your needs with a friend, family member, or S/O is extremely important. It's easy to diminish our own needs so as to not burden others, but expressing that you need support shows an immense amount of strength and bravery.

Often behaviors unknowingly make people mistake who we we really are. When we need connection the most
it's easy to slip into "auto" behavior such as being passive aggressive, having a short fuse, staying busy, or avoiding conflict.

It is in these moments, with conscious awareness, we need to reach out for help in a practical way that tells others that we need support. Coming up with a plan beforehand with your S/O will help with this process... When I've had a bad day, I will tell you. This will cue you to:

Hug me closer
Give me space
Help with the kids
Let me take a bath
Remind me you love me.
